Quite nights do happen in French bars but in our village seem quite rare as my regular readers can now tell.
On the Sunday following two wild nights, we went to the Crazy Bar and were the only customers in there.
The television was on and we could hear it for once due to the lack of customers.
My husband found it helpful in learning more French as a lot of the new stories were familiar even if the language not so much.
The landlord despaired of those who go skiing and ignore signs telling them that it is dangerous to go on certain slopes or of adverse weather conditions.
He also does not seem the biggest fan of politicians. “Blah, blah, blah!” is the same in any language!
He tells us that it is traditional to put flavours like lemon or cassis in wine but only the average stuff and not the great wines which should be respected more.
Don’t get me wrong. We love our wild nights out but sometimes it is just as lovely to have a quiet one.
